T-Mobile has become the first UK network to disclose its contract price points for the iPad 2, ahead of its official launch tomorrow.
Existing T-Mobile phone or broadband customers can pick up the 16GB 3G and Wi-Fi edition of Apple’s second-gen slate for £199 upfront on a 24 month contract at £25 per month.
Anyone new to the network is looking at a £229 initial charge to cover the cost of the tablet and a slightly higher outlay of £27 month over the two year contract term.
Both deals include 1GB of data usage per month, plus an additional 1GB of so-called ‘quiet time’ data that can be used between 12am and 10am.
The carrier’s sister network Orange has yet to unveil its pricing. However, it is expected to be broadly in line with T-Mobile.
That leaves just Three and Vodafone to go, after Apple’s original iPhone UK partner O2 confirmed it will not be offering the iPad 2.
