The HP Pre 3 is now on sale on the official European store at a price point that's sure to turn a few heads.
The Pre 3 is on offer for £299 on the Palm Eurostore. We’re not sure if this includes VAT as Clove.co.uk is also selling it for £300, which actually works out to £360 after you’ve paid the taxman. But either way, webOS fans in Europe will be pleased to know that the wait is finally over.
For the outlay, you’ll get a handset that sports a 3.6-inch capacitive touchscreen (a shade bigger than the iPhone 4), a 1.4GHz Qualcomm MSM8x55 processor to keep things ticking over and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, which according to HP is the largest yet on a webOS phone.
Elsewhere, it’s home to a five-megapixel camera with LED flash, autofocus and HD video recording capabilities at 720p, a front-facing VGA for video calls and 8GB of on board storage.
The real highlight of the show, however, is the operating system - webOS 2.2. This features a unique multitasking interface that displays running applications like a stack of cards, which you can flick to easily switch between or terminate.
If you’re of mind to pick up the Pre 3 on contact, it’s available to pre-order on Orange and T-Mobile on plans starting at £20.42 a month.
