Widgets that will accompany the native Gmail, Email and Calendar applications on the upcoming Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) iteration of Android have been leaked online.
Screenshots of the home screen adornments cropped up over at Android Police, revealing just how similar Ice Cream Sandwich looks compared to the tablet-optimised Honeycomb.
The Gmail widget, for a start, looks almost identical to the Honeycomb counterpart, except with a lighter colour scheme. Slightly worryingly, though, the emails listed don’t appear to have labels unlike on Honeycomb, but that’s likely because they were probably assigned none in the first place.
Next up is the Email widget which looks exactly the same as the Gmail one, only with the logos switched.
Finally, the Calendar widget, which also bears striking resemblances to the Honeycomb version, only it’s a bit thinner in the body with no border.
Admittedly, these aren’t much to write home about. But it at least gives us an idea of what to expect when Ice Cream Sandwich is officially unveiled tomorrow morning.
