Owners of Samsung Galaxy S2 and other Galaxy-branded smartphones are to get greater protection from malware and sticky-fingered thieves, after Sammy inked a deal with security sages Norton.
The partnership will allow Galaxy phone owners three-months’ free use of Norton's Find My Phone, which features remote-tracking via A-GPS so you can track down your phone if you lose it or it gets stolen.
To keep your data safe, you’ll also be able remotely lock your phone until you get it back – handy if you’ve worried about sensitive information you might have on board.
And in news to ease the nerves of anyone concerned by the high levels of nastiness at the Android Market and third-party app stores, there’s also a full suite of anti-malware software to keep viruses at bay.
The app will be available via the Samsung App Hub, which also recently ran a giveaway on Modern Combat 3 for S2 users, along with the likes of the cel-shaded gorgeousness of Samurai II: Vengeance THD.
