Flappy Bird, the iOS gaming sensation which was pulled after its creator received death threats over its addictiveness and difficulty, is making a return to the Apple platform in August.
The news comes straight from Dong Nguyen, the man behind the title. He told CNBC in the US that he was readying a new version of the game, which would be less addictive and have a multiplayer aspect to boot.
Nyugen is also plotting new modes, including one that features a man jumping from building to building. No other details have been revealed as yet.
Whether the game will receive so much attention this time around remains to be seen. iPhones with Flappy Bird installed were trading for north of $1,000 on eBay in the wake of Nyugen's decision to take the game down.
