Christian Bale has been cast as Steve Jobs in the Aaron Sorkin written biopic of the Apple founder. Sorkin revealed the news in an interview with Bloomberg.
The film, which is based on Walter Isaacson’s biography of Jobs, is believed to centre on three key Apple launches, with each segment totalling 30 minutes.
Sorkin said that Bale would appear in every scene of the movie. “He has more words to say in this movie than most people have in three movies combined,” said Sorkin, who added that he thought the Academy Award–winning actor would ‘crush it’.
Danny Boyle has been slated to direct the film, which is said to start shooting in the next few months. Sorkin has previous with tech–based biopics, having written The Social Network, David Fincher’s movie about the early days of Facebook.
There has already been one Steve Jobs movie since the Apple founder’s death. Jobs, starring Ashton Kutcher, was released last year.
