Images purporting to show the packaging for Apple’s forthcoming smartwatch have appeared on Instagram, ahead of its retail debut later this month.
A series of snaps showing the device’s box and the longer packaging for the watch’s replaceable band were posted to Instagram by user Jeremy Gan.
Gan has since made the images private, but not before they were screen-grabbed and shared by Apple sites thirsty for more news on the upcoming watch.
Although the pics are not necessarily official, they were taken at the Daily Mail’s New York offices, suggesting that they’re the real deal.
The middle-market paper-turned-internet phenom is likely to already have an Apple Watch in the office, despite it not going on sale for two weeks.
The packaging certainly looks consistent with other Apple products, leading us to believe this is what you could be unboxing your new smartwatch from on April 24th.
The Apple Watch will be available to try in stores from this Friday, April 10th, although you will need to schedule an appointment first.
