The iPad Pro, Apple’s long–rumoured large scale take on its bestselling tablet, appears to be edging ever closer to launch, if a series of new case leaks are anything to go by.
Renowned Apple leaker Sonny Dickson has managed to snare a string of new cases which show off the sheer size of the 12.2–inch plus device.
One tri-fold case in particular catches the eye. This is far more detailed than previous case designs and suggests manufacturers are willing to spend more on new cases based on leaked schematics revealed last year.
A specific launch date for the iPad Pro is unknown, with analysts initially claiming it could debut this spring.
That appears unlikely, as does any reveal at Apple’s WWDC event, which starts on June 8th in San Francisco.
Instead, the larger slate is likely to make an official appearance alongside other new iPads in autumn.
Apple is said to be readying a slimline new iPad mini 4, in a further bid to prevent the continuing stagnation in sales of its tablet range.
