Samsung’s next smartwatch, dubbed the Gear A, will come with a rotating bezel, which could allow users to zoom in by turning it clockwise.
The news comes straight from Samsung, which revealed its plans at a developer event for the ailing Tizen operating system that will purportedly power the watch.
The Gear A is said to come with a screen resolution of 360 x 360, a dual-core processor and 4GB of storage. The Tizen OS means it’ll only work with Samsung phones, however.
Samsung will be hoping the device can capitalise on interest in Apple’s rival smartwatch, bolstering sales in an area where it has so far struggled to attain mainstream success.
The Korean company is likely to reveal the Gear A at its Galaxy Unpacked event on August 13th, when it will also tout its curved screen Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and Galaxy Note 5.
