Google has revealed a new update for the iOS versions of its Maps tool, including a new night mode so you can see routes more easily in the dark.
Users have for a long time complained that the screen within Google Maps is too bright after dark. This often meant being unable to switch between looking at the screen and the road without temporarily losing vision.
On top of that welcome addition, Google will also now let you label places so you can see them on a map or within search suggestions. This manual tool should make it a lot easier to find particular places that aren’t marked by Google’s servers.
The Big G has also served up a series of bug fixes to make the app more stable. You can snare the update now from the App Store or wait for your iPhone to automatically make the changes.
