Vodafone customers on select bundles now get a free Netflix subscription, as it becomes the latest network to launch fresh incentives to tie in with the arrival of the new iPhones.
The free subscription is up for grabs when customers sign for a Vodafone Red Value contract, as a SIM only option or as part of a standard 'handset-and-monthly-allowance' contract. It’s also extended to Vodafone’s Sharer Bundles, which let you share a monthly allowance between multiple users and devices.
Depending on the contract you’re on, the Netflix sub, which is you the two-screen plan that’s normally priced £7.49 per month, lasts either six months or 12 months. So that’s a maximum saving of just shy of £90.
Natch, all contracts include the option to stream the broadcaster's output on any computer, smart TV, tablet or other connected device in your home. So you’re not restricted to your Vodafone-registered smartie or slate.
And you get the full range of Netflix favourites too. Think: Marvel’s Daredevil, House of Cards and Orange Is The New Black and The Adventures of Puss in Boots.
Cindy Rose, Consumer Director at Vodafone UK said: “Thanks to our partnership with Netflix and our strong and ever-expanding 4G network, our customers can be out and about and still catch-up with their favourite films or TV shows.
“Our 4G customers are using four times more data than those on 3G, which shows how popular services such as Netflix are with our 4G customers.”
Vodafone also last week announced it is now offering Wi-Fi calling, allowing customers to make free calls over wireless networks when they’re at home or out and about.
The launch of fresh deal-sweeteners comes after Voda unveiled iPhone 6S pre-order pricing.
