A new HTC handset has leaked online. Dubbed the One X9, it looks similar to the One A9 but bigger.
The One A9 was a mid-range effort that looked quite a lot like the iPhone 6S. According to leaked specs reported by China's TENAA telecommunications agency, the One X9 will be higher-end and a little larger.
It claims that the phone will have a 5.5-inch Full HD screen, a quad-core 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon chip and 2GB of RAM. Internal storage is just 16GB, though that will be bolstered by a microSD card slot.
On imaging duties are a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facer. Its dimensions are 153.2x75.9x7.99mm and it weighs 174g.
The band around the camera module you can see in the images has led some to compare it to the Nexus 6P, which is made by Huawei.
Interestingly, the X9 is also marked by the return of HTC's BoomSound speakers, which were absent from the One A9. Given that BoomSound speakers are some of the best you'll find in a mobile, we think many will applaud their return.
The phone is only confirmed for China at the moment, there's no word on whether it will make it to the UK, and if so, if it'll be any different.
