LG has pulled the wrappers off a smart case for its forthcoming G5 smartphone, despite the fact that the latter is not due to get an official unveiling for another week.
The new 'Quick Cover' features a window that shows part of the G5’s much vaunted Always On display. Here you can see your message count, as well as latest notifications and the time.
What’s more, when a call comes in you won’t need to whip the cover off. Rather you’ll be able to answer it right away. LG says you can also control alarm settings via the cover rather than using the main screen.
The Korean mobile-maker is set to unveil its G5 at a special event on February 21st in Barcelona, a day ahead of the annual Mobile World Congress event.
The handset is thought to come with a 5.3–inch display, an all–new metal design and a special ‘Magic Slot’ for plugging in a new range of accessories, which are also likely to make an appearance at LG’s launch.
