Apple will make its new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus available for pre–order on September 9th, with the device launching earlier in the same week.
That’s according to Evan Blass, a well–known mobile watcher who last week claimed that Apple’s new smartphones would be revealed the week starting September 12th.
Having apparently received new information, Blass used his @evleaks Twitter account to confirm Apple’s plans. “Confirmed: Pre-orders start on the 9th. You can extrapolate the launch event date from there.”
A pre–order date of Friday 9th September means Apple will likely unveil the devices a few days earlier, either on Monday 5th or Tuesday 6th September.
The new iPhones are said to be minor updates on last year’s model, with a new 3D Touch home button, improved cameras and changes to the headphone setup forcing users to connect earbuds via the device’s Lightning charging port.
