After months of leaks showing off Apple’s plans for its new iPhone 7, a fresh video has emerged today showing off a dummy model of the company’s larger iPhone 7 Plus, a device that has also been dubbed the iPhone 7 Pro in some quarters.
The clip gives us the clearest look yet at what Apple has in store for its new 5.5–inch handset. The most noticeable feature is the blue–tinged chassis, which dovetails with rumours about a new colour scheme.
Round the back, the most obvious tweaks compared with last year’s iPhone 6s are the dual lens camera and smart connector buttons.
The latter are currently found on Apple’s iPad Pro lineup and are used for connecting the company’s Smart Keyboard accessory. It could be that Apple is plotting a wireless charging pad which works in conjunction with this proprietary tech.
While this isn’t a working model, it’s a clear indicator of what Apple has planned and is based in schematic drawings slipped out from Apple’s Chinese supply chain.
