iPhone SE: EE ditches upfront charge for Apple smartphone

iPhone SE hero

EE has waived the upfront charge for the iPhone SE, as part of time-limited promotion.

That means that instead of paying out £99 for the phone and then paying £30.99 a month for two years, you’ll only need to pay the monthly fee for the device.

The deal also includes unlimited calls and texts and 2GB of data, as well as six months' free use of the BT Sport app and six months' free Apple Music streaming.

The iPhone SE was launched in spring this year and features the same internal smarts as 2015’s iPhone 6s.

That means you get the same 12 megapixel camera, the latest iOS 10 software and fingerprint scanning smarts with Touch ID, all in a 4–inch handset which is easier to use one–handed.

And winningly the iPhone SE comes with a 3.5mm headphone slot, a feature conspicuous by its absence in the recently launched iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
