To celebrate the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, O2 is allowing any customer using a free SIM to text in and win cash every time England hit the back of the net.

All entrants have to do is sign up for a free SIM card from O2 and top up their account with £15 credit. Once this is done, they need to text GOAL to 66102 and enter the unique code dispatched to their handset into the O2goals.co.uk website.

Once an account is set up and the code is entered, customers will receive £5 for every single goal that England put past the opposing side. O2 says that it will not be counting own goals scored by our lads, so bear that in mind.

People who are going to be supporting other teams can join in with the action if they text CONCEDE, with exactly the same amount payable for every painful slip that is made by England.

No need for the conceding bit of the competition, surely? Unless you're Scottish. In which case, enjoy your football free summer holiday, as usual. Arf.

A typical english hyped comment and promo - probably because you're all english and we all know they're going to get stuffed yet again by a central american team.

    Regards,

    Argentina Scotland United

@Jock Block. How is it today in Jockoland? Cold and grim, as usual?

Also do they not teach Geography in Scottish schools? Brazil and Argentina et al are in South America, not Central America.

Now go pour yourself another pint of Tennents Purple Tin and calm down a bit.
