About Kent Reliance Building Society

The Kent Reliance Building Society was created from a merger of the Chatham Reliance Building Society, the Dover District Building Society, and the Kent & Canterbury Building Society. The society later became known as the Kent Reliance Banking Services, and then eventually KRBS. Today Kent Reliance is a trading name of One Savings Bank PLC.

Kent Reliance has a history of offered mortgages, savings accounts and other financial products to the people of Kent. Kent Reliance is a member of the Council of Mortgage Lenders and is committed to helping first time buyers and existing home owners find the right mortgage for their needs.

Mortgages from Kent Reliance are only available through selected intermediaries, so applications for a Kent Reliance mortgage need to be made via a mortgage advisor.

Existing customers can choose from a selection of Kent Reliance mortgages. Kent Reliance offers a range of two and three fixed rate and discounted mortgage deals. Early repayments are accepted, but charges may apply if the capital is repaid or the loan is settled in full. Existing Kent Reliance customers will be notified of new mortgage products before the end of their current deal.

Mortgages from Kent Reliance are available on a repayment or interest only basis.

Kent Reliance mortgages for shared ownership housing schemes are available for up to 100% of the property’s value. In order to qualify for a shared ownership mortgage, customers must own between 25% and 75% of the property’s value.

Landlords can choose from a selection of buy to let mortgages from Kent Reliance. These include discounted and fixed rate products.
