BT broadband and home phone customers can take advantage of a number of special offers on computing and electronic goods this month.

The telecoms giant is offering discount prices on a number of items, including laptops, hard drives, printers and answering machines.

First of all, BT customers can get their hands on an Asus X52F 15.6" Notebook for just £330.

The computer comes with an Intel Core i3 330M processor, a 320GB hard drive, 2GB RAM, SmartLogon facial recognition technology and Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium.

Alternatively, BT subscribers can buy a Sony VAIO E Series EH1L0E laptop, complete with a second-generation Intel Core i3 processor, for just £498.99.

The computer has a 320GB hard drive, 4GB of RAM, and comes with a high contrast 15.5" screen, smart textured design and Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium.

Two hard drives are also on offer to BT customers during September – the Buffalo 500GB MiniStation Portable, which is priced at £39.99, and the WD 750GB My Passport Essential Portable, which is available for £54.99.

The Buffalo hard drive enables users to store data is a single, convenient location, offer high-speed USB 2.0 connectivity, comes with plug & play technology and is PC and Mac compatible.

Meanwhile, the WD hard drive comes with USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 compatibility, automatic, continuous back-up and password protection for extra privacy.

BT customers looking for a new printer have the option of acquiring an Epson Stylus S22 Inkjet for just £19.99.

The reliable, economical unit is ideal for home broadband customers, and can be used to print both documents and photos.

BT describes the design of the printer – which uses Epson DURABrite Ultra ink, and carries an Energy Star rating - as being "smart and discreet".

Where answer machines are concerned, BT customers have four low-cost options this month.

They can get their hands on a BT Graphite 2500 Range machine, which can store 50 contacts, for £24.99, or the 250-contact BT Synergy 6500 Range for £49.99.

Alternatively, the BT Freestyle 750 Range, which can store 50 contacts and is hearing aid compatible, costs £39.99, and the new BT Inspire 1500 Range – which comes with a blue backlit display – is priced at £49.99.
