UK households are being given the opportunity to save money on broadband and home phone services through a new BT promotion.
The telecoms giant has launched a new broadband deal offering internet and off-peak calls for just £3.50 per month for six months.
Subscribers can receive a huge discount on BT Broadband Option 1 plus unlimited evening and weekend calls, which is ordinarily priced at £13 per month.
And as another incentive to new customers, BT is giving away a £50 Sainsbury's gift card to all subscribers.
So households can not only make significant savings on broadband and calls, but on their first weekly shop after joining BT's customer base.
BT is running the promotion for six weeks, meaning consumers have plenty of time to make their minds up about the broadband offer.
With the deal launching today (Tuesday February 14th), households will be able to sign up for cut-price broadband and calls up until March 29th.
BT Broadband Option 1 comes on an 18-month contract, with subscribers able to access up to 20Mb broadband speeds.
Only those living a significant distance from the nearest telephone exchange, and those based in remote rural areas, will receive slower speeds.
The tariff comes with a 10GB per month usage allowance, but the lure of a free connection boosts the appeal of the broadband package.
"After signing up, BT Broadband customers can also sign up for on-demand Digital TV entertainment with BT Vision, which gives customers access to the digital terrestrial Freeview channels and a range of optional TV channel mixes," the firm explained.
"They include the best of UK and US TV entertainment, top Hollywood entertainment, and full coverage of the Barclays Premier League including live football action courtesy of Setanta Sports."
