Leicester Tigers v Northampton Saints is the pick of the televised rugby union matches on BT Sport this weekend.

The Aviva Premiership encounter, which kicks off at 3:15pm on Saturday October 5th, is one of four matches to be broadcast between now and Sunday.

Second-place Northampton travel to third-place Leicester with an almost identical record in the league so far.

In their first four matches, both sides have won three and lost one, picking up two try bonus points and one losing bonus point in the process for a total of 15.

Bizarrely, the Tigers and the Saints have also scored the same number of tries (14) and conceded the same number of points (57) so far.

However, Northampton sit one place ahead of their hosts by virtue of scoring four points more - 108 to Leicester's 104.

Both sides won in the league last weekend, with Leicester winning 9-21 away at Exeter Chiefs and Northampton seeing off Sale Sharks 33-14 at Franklin's Gardens.

BT Sport viewers can expect a fiery encounter - but with no little quality - as two of England's top sides go head-to-head at Welford Road.

If you can't wait until then for your next dose of Aviva Premiership action, Sale Sharks v Bath Rugby is live on BT Sport 1 tonight (Friday October 4th) for a 7:45pm kick-off.

Sale will be aiming to return to winning ways following their loss at Northampton last time out, while Bath head north full of confidence after a 33-18 win against London Irish.

Gary Gold's men have been defeated just once this season - to last year's league winners Saracens - and currently sit in fourth on 13 points.

Sale are currently sixth in the Aviva Premiership table on nine points, having won two and lost two of their opening four fixtures.

The third televised top-flight game of the weekend is Gloucester v Exeter Chiefs, which is live on BT Sport 1 at 2pm on Sunday October 6th.

Gloucester won last week 16-22 away at Newcastle Falcons, while Exeter were beaten at home by Leicester Tigers.

Fans of European rugby have an added treat this weekend, as Toulouse v Stade Francais will be broadcast live online on Saturday October 5th.

Broadband subscribers will be able to enjoy the French Top 14 clash (kick-off 7:40pm) via the BT Sport online player and BT Sport app.
