The EE TV set-top box now has access to Amazon's Alexa digital assistant. That means EE TV owner with an Amazon Echo speaker can use Alexa to control EE TV just by speaking.
For example, you can ask it: "Alexa, ask EE TV what's on tonight." And up will pop recommendations from Freeview Picks.
You can also ask about shows on Freeview channels, either for today or the next day.
TV on standby? No problem. You can still use voice commands to set recordings, without switching the TV on.
EE TV launched nearly three years ago. But since then, it's had relatively few updates, prompting speculation that it's a bit of an afterthought for the UK's biggest mobile network.
It gives access to more than 70 Freeview channels, premium channels through Sky's Now TV, as well as on-demand services like BBC iPlayer and ITV Player.
You can also use it to buy or rent films.
The box is free to certain EE customers.
In our review, we found that while innovative, EE TV had too many bugs to put it above rival TV services. Though if you're an eligible EE customer, it's undoubtedly a nice extra.
