Ashley Walters and Noel Clarke will star in a Sky original cop drama to air next year. 'Bulletproof' will feature the duo as a pair bonded by the same moral code, despite their obvious differences.
BAFTA-winner Clarke ('Kidulthood') plays Bishop, who grew up looking for a father figure. He's paired with Pike (Walters, from 'Top Boy'), who grew up in the shadow of his father, the first black police commissioner.
As well as starring, Clarke co-created the show with Nick Love. He said in a statement: "I’m ecstatic that the show Ashley, myself and Nick created is here. We’ve worked many years in the industry, but never all together. We've grown and evolved as artists and this will be a series that fans and non-fans alike will be drawn to. Enjoy the ride!”
Walters added: "I am really excited to be working with Noel and Nick on this project. I have been inspired by both of them for years and collaborating with them on this will produce something amazing. Years in the making but finally here !!! #alwayswinning”
Sky has also commissioned a third series of 'Stan Lee's Lucky Man'. The show stars James Nesbitt as detective inspector Harry Clayton, a cop who can control his own luck. It too will come to Sky 1 next year.
