american gods

American Gods series two will start on Amazon Prime Video on 11th March 2019, Amazon has announced. The eight-episode Amazon original series will be available in more than 200 countries, excluding the US.

The series stars Ricky Whittle (The 100) as Shadow Moon and Ian McShane (Lovejoy himself) as Mr. Wednesday. The hour-long drama is adapted from Neil Gaiman’s bestselling novel of the same name. It tells of a war brewing between the Old Gods and New Gods – these are the traditional gods with mythological roots who are losing believers in favour of the upstart pantheon of gods reflecting our modern love affair with money, technology, media, celebrity and drugs.

Series two has us join Mr. Wednesday shortly after he’s declared war, and the ensuing chaos that follows. It culminates in a quest across America for the gods both Old and New.

It also stars Emily Browning, Crispin Glover and Orlando Jones.

New episodes will air weekly.
