When is the iPhone SE 2 on sale?
There's no official word on when, or even if, Apple will release an SE 2 model.
Still, as the original iPhone SE launched in March 2016 and Apple usually updates its phone lines once a year, it would be logical to expect SE 2 phones to be available from March 2017.
However, reports suggest we'll have to wait longer than that.
KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has predicted that Apple won't launch the iPhone SE 2 in 2017, for fear that a lower-priced iPhone could affect sales of the more premium iPhone 7.
Kuo's Apple predictions are almost always spot-on, but this one seems a bit unconvincing. After all, the first-generation SE was released six months after last year's iPhone 6 range and sold very well, without detracting significantly from iPhone 6 sales.
In fact, the popularity of the more affordable iPhone SE gave Apple's sales a welcome boost between April and June, which is traditionally a quiet time of year for them.
Still, it is possible that Apple is prioritising the already heavily anticipated iPhone 8, which is expected to be unveiled in September 2017.
As next year will be the 10th anniversary of the iPhone, fans will definitely be expecting something extra-special from next year's Apple handsets.

How much will the iPhone SE 2 cost?
One of the main attractions with the first-generation SE was the price tag. Starting at just £26 per month, the competitive pricing gave consumers a very affordable option for owning an iPhone.
To purchase the SIM-free handset on the day of release cost £359- almost half the price of the high-end iPhones.
With such a successful pricing strategy, consumers can expect to pay around the same price for the SE 2.
