A new partnership between music app Shazam and iPhone network operator O2 will see users of the application get exclusive ticket offers and gig information, allowing them to beat the crowd and see their favourite artists.
Shazam will provide its users who are on O2 with details of upcoming concerts based on which musicians they have tagged using the app and if the gigs are taking place in one of the many venues controlled by O2 they will be able to book tickets two days before anyone else.
Shazam is free to download from the app store and it already has 50 million users around the globe.
O2's Shadi Halliwell said: "Shazam is one of the most popular apps on the iPhone and a perfect way of reaching potential customers."
O2 has been keen to emphasis the methods it is employing to make sure all of its customers are aware of the priority tickets to which they are entitled.
