The zombie defence hit Plants vs Zombies from casual gaming king PopCap has blown through all app sales records in its first nine days on the App Store, selling 300,000 units.
The game first made an appearance last May for desktop PCs and was quickly snapped up by legions of fans who fell for its cute aesthetic and addictive gameplay.
The app version has made over £660,000 since its release and with a retail price of just £1.79 it is not hard to see why so many people have downloaded the game.
Developer PopCap continues to make waves on the mobile market with its various iPhone releases and Plants vs. Zombies Joins Bejewelled and Peggle on the list of best-sellers.
PopCap's Andrew Stein said "There's always a concern when bringing a computer game to a mobile, pocket-sized device that something will get lost in the process, but in this case the overwhelming consensus is that Plants vs Zombies is even more fun on the smaller touchscreen!"
