Mozilla has updated its Firefox Home application for iPhones, with a few notable new enhancements.
The revamped app Firefox Home app now offers support for 16 languages, as well as the addition of URL search, that allows users to type web addresses into the URL bar in part or in full to try and find sites.
Users will also benefit from the inclusion of the Awesome Bar that featured in Firefox 3.0. This offers the chance to search bookmarks and web history for relevant pages.
It is also now possible to access tabs on an iPhone that have been left open on a desktop computer.
Firefox Home is free to download now and is compatible with iPhones that run iOS3.1 or above.
Mozilla’s application was finally accepted by the App Store in June after a lengthy wait as Apple’s gatekeepers mulled whether it fell foul of rules barring competing browsers from sale.
