The hotly anticipated white iPhone 4 has been leaked in the unlikeliest of places, as reservation options in the Apple Store app.
MacRumors forum member Bandolier discovered reservations for a 16GB white iPhone 4 from $199 and a 32GB model from $299 while browsing the iPhone app for locating Apple stores stateside.
Now before you get too excited, neither reservation actually works at the time of writing and instead gives you the message: “Because of high demand, we are not currently taking iPhone reservations”.
Delays in releasing the white iPhone 4 has been blamed on everything from imperfect frames to chemicals used to achieve the paintjob. It’s white, Apple, get on with it.
That said, we hardly expect Apple to release the white iPhone 4 without making a big fuss about it, so this could very well be a glitch in the system. But the fact that it showed up on Apple’s own iPhone application tells us that it is coming, eventually. We wouldn’t bet against a launch just in time for the Christmas rush.
We will be sure to let you know as soon as we have more details.
