The forthcoming update for the Android version of Angry Birds will fix the glitch that prevents players from getting golden egg #17, games maker Rovio has revealed.
The bug prevents players from fully completing the game, leaving frustrated fans as Angry as the in-game avians whose eggs have been purloined by the green pigs.
However, salvation is at hand, after Rovio acknowledged the bug via its Twitter feed and confirmed that has been fixed and will be addressed in the next update.
The company has also confirmed that the much-anticipated Christmas edition for the iPhone will not be for the standard edition of the casual gaming phenomenon, but is only for customers who’ve got the paid-for Halloween version.
Little is known about what new gameplay features we can expect, but if previous updates are anything to go by we can look forward to around 40-odd new levels.
Meanwhile, there was bad news for Windows Phone 7 gamers last week, after it emerged that Angry Birds now won't land on their smartphones until the New Year.
