iPhone Rock Band Reloaded crashes App Store

A new edition of music sim Rock Band has hit the App Store, bringing oodles of paint-stripping, foot on monitor action to iOS devices.

Priced £2.99, Rock Band Reloaded brings voice recognition to the title for the first time, so you’ll be able to murder all your favourite tunes. However, if you’ve got a first gen iPod Touch or iPhone, you’ll need to use headset with a mic for this to work.

Also new is a split screen mode for head to head challenges with your chums, a Big Drums feature so you can beat the skins in landscape mode and a ‘Hit Encore’ option that allows you to quickly reload a song.

Plus, there’s some tasty additions to the playlist, including contributions from Nirvana, Vampire Weekend, Beastie Boys and Nine Inch Nails.

Less welcome, at least as far as we’re concerned, are efforts from 3 Doors Down, Megadeth and smack-addled losers Alice in Chains.
