After being caught tax evading, Wesley Snipes is currently the US' most high-profile inmate. But where most celebs caught with their pants down and with time on their hands turn to penning an autobiography or expressing themselves through music, Wesley has taken a different approach to his rehabilitation. He's starring in an iPhone game.
Yes, Snipes, the Hollywood star known for his role in the vampire-slaying Blade series is working on a game from within confines of his jail cell to create a third-person beat ‘em up starring himself as a fictional character inspired by some of his past films.
The game is called Julius Styles: The International. Snipes revealed via a statement that it “was inspired by my desire to bring my Art of War, Murder at 1600 and Passenger 57 characters into the game world”.
“Julius Styles will offer something for both the mind game strategist and the kick-ass special ops warrior lover.”
"Julius Styles pits your street knowledge survival skills with your academic intellect and spiritual intuition,” Snipes added.
Hmm. We are not sure what button mashing has to do with intellect and spiritual intuition but we admit the game looks better than we first imagined (vidi it in action below). An Android, Xbox Live and PlayStation Network version is also being planned by developers Lepland Studio.
In any case, let’s hope Snipes pays his taxes this time from any money he makes.
