Apple says that it is priming a fix for a bug which causes its new iPhone X to seize up when used in low temperatures.
Users on a number of Apple forums across the web have complained that when they take their iPhone X out and try and use it in cold weather, the screen stops being responsive.

In a statement, Apple said, “We are aware of instances where the iPhone X screen will become temporarily unresponsive to touch after a rapid change to a cold environment.
“After several seconds the screen will become fully responsive again. This will be addressed in an upcoming software update."
News of the problem comes after Apple admitted that its new iPhone suffers from screen burn–in, an issue known to plague phones with OLED screens.
But–in sees an image remain on screen after a users has navigated away from the page where it was originally hosted.
Despite these niggles, it appears the iPhone X is off to a flying start, with anecdotal evidence suggesting Apple still can’t meet demand.
