Internet service provider (ISP) Sure has announced plans to launch the Isle of Man's cheapest broadband service next week.

Mobile broadband services will be available for a monthly fee of £14.95 from November 1st, the firm told

Sure - which has been operating for three years on the island - said the new service will allow the broadband provider to undercut market rivals Manx Telecom and WiManx.

Andy Bridson, Chief Commercial Officer at Sure, said it was "a very exciting time for Sure and for broadband users in the Isle of Man".

"Islanders will soon be able to benefit from the same reliability and value for money in their broadband as they have come to expect from existing Sure mobile services," he stated.

"We are very proud to be serving the Isle of Man and we will be using all our existing technical experience and knowledge to provide islanders with a fantastic, great value, service."

Earlier this month, the ISP revealed that the new mobile broadband service will allow consumers to take advantage of 16Mb download speeds.
