M&S Bank credit cards

Marks and Spencer are one of the most famous retail outlets in the United Kingdom. From humble beginnings on a market stall in Leeds, West Yorkshire, they have become an iconic brand worldwide.

M &S are no longer just a retail concern, they also provide a full range of financial services through the auspices of the M&S Bank.Customers from across the United Kingdom can manage their banking online, as well as carry out banking in branches at select stores nationwide.

The retail arm of the company dates back to 1884, but St Michael Financial Services launched in 1985, with a charge card available to its customers.

Over the years M&S unveiled personal loans, ISAs, insurance and pensions. As further products and services were added to their portfolio, they changed their name to Marks and Spencer Financial Services Limited, and then later to M & S Money, which in turn launched the M&S Bank that provides credit card products.

The first M&S credit card was launched in 2003.The credit limit provided to successful applicants is dependent upon the credit score and other information supplied throughout the application process.

M&S credit cards are available to both those who shop regularly with M&S and those who shop elsewhere. The credit card offers a range of benefits to customers, including an introductory 0% interest on shopping and the option to earn redeemable M&S points each time you shop with your card, even if it’s not at a Marks and Spencer store.

New customers can enjoy 500 bonus points, worth £5, when they spend on their card for the first time to purchase clothing, home items or food from M&S.

The M&S credit card is easy to track and manage, with customers being able to simply log in online to find out more information about their credit limit, how much they’ve spent so far and how much their next payment will be, along with information about points and more. Cardholders can also apply for an additional card for a family member, spouse or partner who lives at your address and meets the eligibility criteria.

You can apply for an M&S credit card on the M&S Bank website. In order to apply, you will need to be a UK resident aged 18 or over and have no history of bankruptcy, CCJs or IVA.
