Internet service provider (ISP) Aquiss has launched two new 24Mb broadband packages this week, according to ISPreview.co.uk.
The broadband supplier is offering two premier unbundled deals, which offer "unlimited" monthly usage, subject to its fair use policy.
Premier Option 1 comes with a minimum contract period of one month, 24Mb download and 1.3Mb upload speeds and 250MB of webspace; it is aimed at home users and costs £21.48 per month.
The network contention rate for the first package is 50:1 - this is the maximum number of people with whom broadband users could be forced to share their infrastructure, potentially slowing down connections.
Premier Option 2 features similar characteristics but an improved contention rate of 20:1. Available at a monthly fee of £28.34, it was designed for small business users.
Aquiss also offers a gaming broadband package that allows for a peak monthly usage of 30GB, downloads of 24Mb and uploads of 1.3Mb for £24.46 a month.
