Fast broadband TalkTalk deal launched
Posted 12th November 2009 at 5:23pm by Jonathan Leggett
TalkTalk’s new gamer-focused, super fast broadband package officially launches today, offering a connection of up to 20Mb for just £14.99 per month.
Dubbed TalkTalk Pro, the new broadband deal is aimed at the burgeoning online gaming market and heavy downloaders and is one of the fastest broadband products on the market.
Consumers who subscribe to the home broadband offer also benefit from unlimited downloads as well as a free advanced “N” wireless router giving a wider connectivity range and free anytime UK calls to 01, 02, 03, 0845 and 0870 numbers.
TalkTalk claims that Pro offers huge savings when compared with similar broadband packages from competitors and has embarked on the launch of the product after consumer research indicated massive latent consumer demand for high-end broadband packages.
A recent study into web user demographics uncovered a section of the population numbering 1.5 million people who regularly upload content online and for whom the internet is an integral part of their day to day lives.

I would recommned that people first ring anc check that its worth them getting this package from talktalk. I rang them this week and they told me themself (by email and phone) that there is no point me even getting this package because my line wont allow me to get more than 8Mb...Kinda of a kick in the teeth because i actually really wanna get unlimited downloads but no point. So im one of the few peeps that actually want a survive got the money to pay for it but cant do a thing about it..SAD TIMES!!!!

I should imagine the majority of people can't get 8MB DSL broadband actually. Atleast not until, and if, BT Rolls out Broadband Enabling Technology which improves speed over distance, the current max for ADSL is a 5km line, BET enables 12km.

I'm in north London and can only get 8Mb Max. It's not just the countryside where coverage is bad.
