TalkTalk has announced a new super fast, high-end broadband package offering speeds of up to 24Mb, in a move away from its current product portfolio of highly rated, value broadband products.

Priced £14.99 per month over 18 months, TalkTalk Pro is one of the fastest consumer broadband offerings on the market and is specifically tailored for the needs of heavy internet users.

Consumers who sign up for the broadband deal also benefit from unlimited downloads, free anytime UK calls to 01,02, 0845 and 0870 numbers, as well as a complimentary advanced N wireless router.

The arrival of TalkTalk Pro marks something of a change of tack for the broadband provider which has hitherto been known largely for keenly priced broadband products that are likely to appeal principally to causal web users.

According to TalkTalk, the decision to launch the Pro package was inspired by research showing a strong latent demand for high-end broadband products. The study uncovered a around 1.5 million-strong demographic of early adopters of new technologies and services, which the company dubs ‘Digital Extroverts’.

Tristia Clarke of TalkTalk said: “Once again TalkTalk is challenging the market and providing unbeatable value by offering a premium broadband product at a much lower price than its competitors’ packages.

“So if you’re one of the millions of people who now regularly use your broadband service to download and upload videos and images or stream media around the house, then our high performance TalkTalk Pro package, giving you the fastest speed your line can handle, is for you.”

TalkTalk will continue to operate its Essentials broadband offering, which provides a connection of up to 8Mb for £6.49 per month. Customers who sign up online for the service can currently get free connection worth £29.99 as part of a limited period incentive.

I have just gone to tiscali TV with a 4meg broadband and the TV catchup pictures are excellent , looks like HD, better than my freeeview aerial TV, i am surprised it works that well on 4meg but its very good.Well worth having.Ask them to match the Simply digital deal with a £70 cashback!!!
