Plusnet news

The demands of UK internet users are continuing to change, according to one broadband provider.

Jamie Ford, Chief Executive of Plusnet, said online habits have altered "considerably" over the last 12 months.

He noted that people are using more bandwidth and services that require faster speeds.

And as such, broadband providers need to make network upgrades in order to keep their consumers happy.

Mr Ford said Plusnet's new fibre products not only meet this demand but do so at a compelling price.

The firm recently launched Plusnet Extra Fibre offering download speeds of up to 76Mb with a 250GB usage allowance.

"The new fibre product has been making real lifestyle changes," Mr Ford stated.

"One-quarter of our trialists said they work from home more and close to two-fifths say they now use internet-enabled devices as a means to entertain guests to their home."
