Virgin Media is continuing to improve its customer service by adding new team members to its Twitter help function and also increasing the number of hours that the facility is available.
Previously, existing and prospective customers could get in touch with Virgin Media via Twitter by contacting the customer service team between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday, and between the hours of 8am and 4pm on Saturday.
However, in a bid to cope with rising demand and offer customers more efficient service, the TV, home phone and broadband provider is now providing support via Twitter til 10pm on weekdays and will also offer people help on a Sunday.
The increased hours mean that new members have now been added to the Twitter team to answer people's questions quicker and ensure that fewer are left with queries that cannot be dealt with due to staff having logged off.
Currently, the function has more than 60,000 followers and serves to keep customers up to date with new developments, offers and service announcements, as well as answering queries.
