Sky is offering free gift certificates to customers who successfully persuade friends or family members to sign up for the firm’s TV services.

Each time a Sky customer makes a successful referral, they are entitled to receive a £75 shopping voucher.

Sky is giving away gift certificates for major high street chains including Tesco, Boots, John Lewis and M&S, allowing consumers to make significant savings on their shopping.

In order to make referrals, customers need to sign in to their Sky account and then send an invitation to join Sky TV to another person’s email account.

Once the friend’s Sky TV subscription is up and running, both parties - including the new subscriber - receive a £75 gift voucher from the broadband provider.

“We like to reward our customers. That's why we're offering a voucher for every one of your friends who joins Sky TV through an introduction from you,” Sky stated.

“You can create your invitations here, track their progress, and redeem your vouchers once each friend has joined.”
