Existing BT TV subscribers are being given the chance to upgrade to the broadcaster's brand new set-top box.

For a one-off fee of £35, customers can get their hands on a BT YouView+ digital video recorder, which offers a range of new and improved features.

The latest version of the set-top box is smaller - since the internal fan has been removed - and has a faster start-up time than the previous model.

It also offers easier navigation of the TV programme menu - helping to improve the user experience - and comes with a new remote control.

Users can still pause and rewind live TV, and record on up to two channels at once.

They can store up to 300 hours of SD TV or 125 hours of HD TV recordings on the 500GB YouView+ hard drive.

New customers signing up for BT TV will receive a YouView+ box for free upon subscription.

But through the BT upgrade offer, existing users can also take advantage of the new device.
