Virgin Media is giving households the chance to save money on all broadband packages which include a home phone line.

For a limited period only - until March 31st - new subscribers are entitled to £45 account credit when signing up with the firm.

All they need to do is enter the 'USWITCH45' promotion code when signing up for a double or triple-play bundle online.

The £45 account credit promotion applies to Virgin Media's home phone and broadband deals, and also its TV, home phone and broadband bundles.

So long as the customer is new to Virgin Media and is taking out a home phone with line rental, they qualify for the money-back deal.

Consumers have several double-play options to choose from, including the firm's Up to 50Mb, Up to 100Mb and Up to 152Mb Broadband + Phone deals.

Virgin Media has recently upgraded its fibre customers at no extra charge, giving them the opportunity to take advantage of faster download speeds as well as an unlimited monthly usage allowance.

The entry-level double-play option - which supports up to 50Mb broadband speeds - is currently available from just £4 per month plus line rental for six months, rising to £15.50 per month plus line rental thereafter.

Subscribers receive a free wireless broadband router, a free installation and inclusive weekend calls as part of the package.

Those households wishing to add Virgin Media TV to their deal have a choice between the firm's four broadband Collections - Starter, Essential, Premiere and VIP.

Virgin Media's Essential Collection - which is priced at £15 per month plus line rental for the first six months, and £28 thereafter - is a popular option among UK households.

It offers up to 50Mb unlimited downloads, inclusive weekend calls, a free Super Hub wireless router and a free installation worth £49.95.

In addition to, the bundle offers more than 100 TV channels, 11 of which are in HD, access to Virgin TV Anywhere and a 500GB TiVo box.

This allows viewers to pause, rewind and record live content, and access on-demand television content.
