Virgin Media has launched a new TV, home phone and broadband bundle: the Essential Family Sports Collection.

The package includes all the same features as the Essential Family Collection, but with the addition of both BT Sport and Sky Sports.

As such, subscribers can tune into BT Sport 1 & 2, ESPN, Sky Sports 1, 2 & 3 and Sky Sports F1.

This means they have access to all 154 Barclays Premier League games shown live on TV each season, split across BT and Sky's respective platforms.

Both broadcasters show a host of other football, including domestic, European and international matches.

Sky Sports also offers live Test and one day international cricket, coverage of the golf Majors and Ryder Cup, Formula 1, Super League rugby, PDC darts, boxing and more.

And on BT Sport, viewers can enjoy Aviva Premiership rugby union, NBA basketball, Moto GP, WTA tennis and the UFC.

But what else does the Virgin Media Essential Family Collection include?

Subscribers receive up to 50Mb broadband with no data cap, a free Super Hub and free connection.

They can also take advantage of unlimited weekend calls to UK landlines and Virgin Mobile numbers, plus Wi-Fi calling via the SmartCall app.

In terms of pay-TV, the triple-play bundle offers more than 230 channels, 43 of which are available in HD, and a 500GB TiVo box, which allows viewers to pause, rewind and record programmes, and access on-demand content.

They can also watch films, programmes and live sport over the internet courtesy of the Virgin TV Anywhere service, and, of course, their unlimited download allowance.

Additionally, a six-month free Netflix subscription comes as part of the deal, providing access to a host of top films and TV series online, on-demand.

New customers can take advantage of an introductory discount when signing up for the package, initially paying just £46.75 per month plus line rental.

After six months, the price reverts to £66.25 per month plus line rental.

Subscribers to the Virgin Media Essential Family Sports Collection are required to sign up for a minimum period of 18 months.
