Visitors to Camden Market in London can now take advantage of free Wi-Fi access, it has been announced.
Purple WiFi and Cisco Meraki are officially launching free wireless broadband at an event on Thursday September 4th.
However, the network is already live for local people, ensuring they can get online on their mobile devices when out and about.
Gavin Wheeldon, Chief Executive of Purple WiFi, said that Stables Market Camden is "a great example of how free Wi-Fi helps consumers".
He explained that the service will also benefit the venue, as it will deliver real-time information on how the market is being used.
This means retailers will have the opportunity to provide relevant offers and discounts via targeted Wi-Fi marketing, Mr Wheeldon noted.
"Having access to free Wi-Fi is now essential and working with Cisco Meraki, Stables Market’s Wi-Fi network was set up and operational in record time," he stated.
Jac Timms, IT Manager at Stables Market Camden, said Purple WiFi has provided a "fast, scalable, quick to set-up and easy-to-use platform, without the usual issues associated with running a large free Wi-Fi hotspot".
