The iPad Air is now available for a reduced price on EE, despite scant sign of a new model any time soon.
EE's promotion on the 16GB version of Apple’s micro-slate has seen it waive the £99 upfront charge when customers sign up for the iPad Air on a 24-month mobile broadband contract at £36 per month.
That gets you 8GB of 4G data per month, as well as the usual EE deal sweeteners. Think: two-for- one cinema tickets on Wednesdays and cheap movie rentals through the EE Film service.
To qualify for the discount, though, you’ve got to buy online and sign up for it before May 26th. You’ll also need to enter the voucher code ‘ipad-air-99’ at the point of purchase.
EE’s promo on Apple’s tablet launches after it recently announced that its 4G network now covers 72 per cent of the UK population.
The carrier’s reach was recently extended after it launched 4G in a series of locations in Wales.
These were Armadale, Bishop Auckland, Brighouse, Cumbernauld, Hamilton Kirkintilloch, Larne, Newry, Peterlee, Staines, Stockton-on-Tees, and Washington.
The next-gen iPad Air isn't expected to make its debut until November.
