BT Sport viewers will have even more live football to look forward to in 2014-15, with the broadcaster securing the rights to Germany’s home friendly matches.

The FIFA World Cup champions take on Argentina on Wednesday September 3rd, in a mouth-watering re-run of July's final in Brazil.

BT Sport viewers will be able to see whether the South American side can gain revenge on Germany, who won the World Cup through Mario Götze's extra-time strike.

The broadcaster will show all Germany's home international friendlies, excluding those against the home nations.

BT Sport has also added to its coverage of the German domestic game - which includes live Bundesliga matches - by securing broadcast rights to the DFB Cup.

Schedule details for the nation's premier knock-out competition will be announced at a later date.

Simon Green, Head of BT Sport, said the pay-TV service now offers "a feast of European football action" for fans.

"Added to Italy’s Serie A, France’s Ligue 1, and, Germany’s Bundesliga, this announcement gives our viewers a fantastic window into football on the continent," he stated.

"Our exclusively live TV coverage of Germany v Argentina will provide an early test of the World Champions' credentials."

Earlier this week, it was announced that BT Sport will also be showing up to four matches per week from the Portuguese Primeira Liga from 2014-15.
