FREEDOM4 inks deal with BOZII
Posted 17th October 2007 at 10:08am by Alex Buttle
WiMAX wireless broadband provider FREEDOM4, formerly Pipex Wireless, has joined forces with Wi-Fi roaming group BOZII to extend its network coverage across the UK and Europe.
The resulting service will be targeted at corporate clients as well as individuals and will enable users to locate access points through a text message, GPS devices or online and offline through the client software, Isp review reports.
Graham Currier, business development director at FREEDOM4, said: "In todays climate of mobile working, online shopping, and internet browsing, our service offers low cost access to a large number of hotspots in the UK and internationally.
"We view Wi-Fi as a complimentary technology to WiMAX and partnering with BOZII means we can significantly increase our wireless services footprint."
FREEDOM4 currently provides access to over 30,000 hotspots in 88 countries and recently announced plans to roll-out commercial WiMAX services in Manchester, Milton Keynes and Warwick, following a series of trials this year.
The company is currently looking to offload its remaining web hosting and business service, having already sold its broadband and voice services to Tiscali.
