O2's broadband tops customer poll

O2's broadband service is the best in the UK, according to surfers polled by a broadband advice site.
Respondents to Thinkbroadband.com's survey, who were asked to judge ISPs for speed, reliability and customer service, rated O2 number one above seven other ISP rivals with an overall score of 74 per cent.
O2 scored 74 per cent for speed, 72 per cent for reliability and 79 per cent for customer service.
These scores placed it above major players in the UK market such as AOL, Orange, TalkTalk, BT Broadband and Sky, despite O2 having only entered the UK sector in October.
Sebastien Lahtinen, co-founder of Thinkbroadband.com, said: "O2 has entered a very competitive market with highly compelling services and our users have clearly indicated that they currently perform very well in all three categories against the large established operators."
News of the firm's performance comes as it this week announced that it is planning to launch a fixed-line broadband TV service to enable it to better compete for customers with Sky.
