Posted 19th August 2008 at 11:00am by Alex Buttle
The Miss World beauty contest is to launch its own broadband TV channel.
Millions of adoring male fans from all over the world have enjoyed the show since it made a debut back in 1951.
Now Miss World will be catapulted into the 21st century with the start of a dedicated IPTV channel which will allow broadband users to watch this year's event through the rounds from start to finish.
The streaming video channel will be part of a website which encourages interaction, allowing viewers to "engage and interact with Miss World".
According to Tech Digest: "It will let you decide if it's going to be Miss Venezuela or Miss Trinidad & Tobago "for the win" in more detail than ever before."
The Miss World final, which is said to attract a global TV audience of over 2.2 billion, will be held in Sanya, China, this year.
